Welcome to my winter Happy Place: Mt. Ashland in Southern Oregon. Once or twice a week I drive up here to surrender myself to gravity, hurtling down the hill at breakneck speeds to my favorite songs, my awareness stowed firmly in my feet. I find this relaxing and somewhat cathartic. That said, we’ll be cruising at an altitude of about 7,500 feet—a sweet, zippy slide on a trail called Dream. The shadow is me. I invite you to see what I see.

Wow - what a great way to start my day! Love that you have the top of the mountain completely to yourself and didn't realize how much I've missed that wonderful 'shushing' sound the snow makes on the side of skis - its been over 20 years since I skiied : ( . Time to think about getting in shape and getting back on the side of a big snowy hill!
